    Straight Up column
DEAR GENTLE AURA/DWAYNE: I'm 15 and I have this really good friend whom I've known since we were kids. I started liking him a long time ago, but was afraid to let anyone know because my friend likes him too. I wouldn't want to ruin friendships over a guy. Full Story

    Ask Miki column
DEAR MIKI: I am hoping you can help me. After being together for about six years, my son's father and I have split up. It has been about one year now, but I still love him very much. I have very, very strong feelings for this man. I finally left him and moved out about six months after our break up. I was a little scared for a bit, you know being on my own again as a single mother. Full Story

LIVE MUSIC STU, MEET PID AT CLUB 279 TONIGHT! Yesterday wasn't exactly what I'd call a stellar day for our little paper, what with the mixed-up headlines and a goof par extraordinaire by yours truly regarding the Closer to the Heart benefit. Just so you're perfectly clear on it, it's TONIGHT at Club 279 (279 Yonge St., above the Hard Rock Cafe). The fourth annual musical benefit in support of the Regent Park School of Music features a band containing Kurt Swinghammer, Blue Rodeo's James Gray, John Obercian and Terence Gowan, plus some of Canada's best vocalists singing great Canuck tunes. Some of the vocalists confirmed are Broken Social Scenester Kevin Drew, Metric's Emily Haines, Sloan's Chris Murphy and many, many more! Best of all, the proceeds go to a school committed to giving one of the greatest gifts in the world - the gift of music - to kids who lost that opportunity when governments severely curtailed budgets for music education. Doors open at 8:30 p.m., and tickets are $25 at the door. Call (416) 362-3636 for more info. Full Story

DEAR WINE LADIES: My wife is showing great interest in learning about wine and I heard about a smelling kit called Nez du Vin. Can you tell me a little about it? Full Story
    Child abduction 101
Q: I live in London, England. Someone faxed me one of your articles. My wife and I moved here with our son Richard, now aged 7, from Toronto about four years ago. When I came home from work one day, I found she'd disappeared with Richard, having taken him out of school, without leaving a note. Full Story
I hate doing all the research
One of the most frustrating aspects of looking for work or making a job or career transition is locating applicable information, sometimes far outside our geographical boundaries. Full Story
A little bit of cheese to go with my whine

I've been thinking a lot about this whole "take your own bottle of wine to the restaurant" issue and I have to admit that I really don't get it.
