to a much lager server that should handle the load. Gone with the move are the propted downloads

August 26th, 2004 ...
Man, six months without an update. If I keep up this exponentially increasing lack of updates,
my yet unborn children will be doing the next update from college in about 20 years.
Just a few minor tweaks and about 50 new song lyrics which I've cunningly
worked into the site without telling you who or what they are. Muahahahaha!!!!

Everyone and thanks for all the great e-mails and corrections you've
been sending. Things have been really getting busy here lately. In
case you're wondering what's been going on I haven't been happy with
our current database, so we've spent the last two months secretly
re-doing the whole thing. We now have a whopping 120,000 lyrics in
our new database.
I'm working on re-doing the site, but the new model should be up in
In april at the very latest. Until then expect lots of minor changes
as I see what I like and don't like.
January 19th, 2003 Sort of gone, but not
forgotten
Sorry for the total lack of updates the
last two months, but I've been having family issues which are
hopefully resolved now. I should have another update going in soon.

November 24th, 2003 'Cause I'm a liar
baby!
Yes, over a month ago I said there would be
an update with more song lyrics. Well, I lied. There are an
unbelievable number of bands that start with the letter "P", and
together they made a ton of song lyrics. The net result is it took a
month for my wife to finish up the 3,000 song lyrics that got added
today. Hopefully the next update will come much faster. I'll work on
it some tonight at work. My co-workers always delight when I put
more work on their backs in order to work on personal projects.

October 22th, 2003 This update brought to you by the letter
"R"
Well, this update took a little longer than I
wanted, but lots of little things got refined and fixed. Aside from
adding a hundred or so artists and about 1500 song lyrics in the "R"
song lyrics section, I fixed a problem that was making all but two
of the Xzibit song lyrics disappear into space. I also fixed the
song lyrics index pages so they're not center tagged and I like the
way they look a lot more now. I'm still iffy on how the individual
song lyrics pages look though. If you guys have any suggestions or
opinions, fire them off to
webmaster@song-lyrics-library.com. Suggestions involving goat
genitals and my mouth will be ignored however, so keep it to song
lyrics. Look for another update Monday-ish with another letter's
worth of song lyrics.
October 11th, 2003 Swim in my thing
Huzzah,
I finally put the site up - much to the delight of my wife.
Unfortunately, I had to trim the song title index and search out of
the site for right now. The search feature wasn't working quite
right and the song title index was producing pages with thousands of
links and was just plain unwieldy. Not to worry though, I'll be
adding the song title index either next update or the one after just
as soon as I come up with a more manageable structure. Coupled with
that will be a move from the center-tagged hell that it looks like
now. In the meantime though, you should be able to get to anything
on the site via the artist index. So far we've got 13,000+
individual song lyrics spread out across 1600+ artists. The list of
song lyrics for artists starting with A and S-Y are fairly large,
while the stuff in between is considerably sparser. All that will
change with patience, time, and clipboard as we continue to march
our way across the alphabet like an unstoppable juggernaut of MS
Office users. All hail Ctrl-V!!!
