A Barrel of Genealogy Links

"I cannot think that we are useless or God would not have created us. There is one God looking down on us all. We are all the children of one God. The sun, the darkness, the winds are all listening to what we have to say." - Geronimo

In Memoriam: LACOMBE, JOHN J., II.

On Monday, August 20, 2001 of Lanham, MD, John Lacombe died in his sleep very unexpectedly. He was the beloved son of the late John J. and Marian Lacombe; brother of Jim and Tom Lacombe. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mattias Catholic Church Building Fund, 9475 Annapolis Rd., Lanham, MD 20706.

A long-time and active member of Capital PC User Group, John's web site is one of the most popular sites on WWW.CPCUG.ORG. John's younger brother, Tom Lacombe, would be glad to receive email condolences and reminiscences at tlacombe@shentel.net.

The Barrel has a New Home!

The following pages are lists of bookmarks for access to various genealogy related WWW resources, sites and homepages. I have distilled the main listing into higher quality sites most useful for researchers. I have included some of the better Civil War Resources on a separate page. Some of these are very excellent and others are still in development.

These lists have been maintained for including sites which can be used by everyone. However, I've had numerous requests for inclusion of family-oriented pages and commercial sites. Some of these are excellent and are now included on a Family-Oriented and Commercial Genealogy pages.

I welcome any new outstanding pages.

- John
