Hailing Frequencies, Issue #280 Not enough time for all the sci-fi/fantasy sites on the Net? Here's a digest
of the the week's news and updates, including the latest on:
Satan, Badder Than Ever Movies and TV shows about the Devil aren't new. Satan has been a villain for mankind since we’ve had villains, but lately he’s taken on a pop culture immediacy usually reserved for more human bad guys. Friday January 21, 2005#
Clara Reviews The Postman, by David Brin Looking for a classic? Not a dull must-read from Eng. Lit. class, but a true representative of the genre? You can’t go wrong with David Brin’s The Postman. Busy Week! Still, Be Sure to Check out Point Pleasant Tonight, Wednesday the 19th, the first hour of Point Pleasant premieres. It's a new show from Fox and Marti Noxon (Buffy & Angel producer/writer), and the second hour airs tomorrow, Thursday, the 20th. 9/8c. Now, I know that with the return of Amazing Race, new episodes of Stargate & Enterprise, and finally getting to the series episodes for Battlestar Galatica, you might think you've got enough TV for now. But come on, if this show has even a tiny chance of capturing some of that Buffy/Angel magic, then we all need to check it out.
