Employment Forms When conducting a job search, it is important to be aware of the forms that employers may require so you are prepared to interview, prepared to be hired, and ready to start a new job. The last thing you need is a glitch and missing documentation that could stall the hiring process. I know paperwork is boring, but, if you take a few minutes to get the employment forms you need in order, you won't have to stress over them at the last minute. Sunday January 23, 2005#
College Grad Hiring Up CollegeGrad.com has announced survey results for the Top 500 Entry Level Employers for 2005. The list represents more than 130,000 jobs for the graduating class of 2005, with a significant 14.2% increase in hiring versus 2004. Leading the list is Enterprise Rent-A-Car with 7,000 projected entry level hires, followed by PriceWaterHouseCoopers with 3,200 projected hires. The National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) also indicates that hiring of college graduates in 2004-5 is up and will increase by 13% from last year. So, all in all, this should be a good year for entry level job searching for graduating seniors and recent grads.

W-2 Forms It's the time of year when employers start sending out W-2 Forms with earnings information from last year. After filing your tax return, make sure you keep your W2 copies in a safe place in case an employer requests them to verify income. Is it appropriate for an employer to request a copy of your W2 form? That depends on when and why they are asking. Saturday January 15, 2005#
